Petr Prucha
Ville Leino?
I was bored and looked back at some of my old fantasy hockey teams via my Yahoo profile and apparently I owned this guy when he broke out for 53 points with Philadelphia.
What about you guys? - Any players that you've owned that broke out in a big way for a really short while to make you look like a genius and then proceeded to fall off the face of the earth?
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!

Leino's name came up lately due to Guentzel tying his rookie playoff scoring record. Of course Guentzel owners hope he ends up more like the other guy who holds the records - Dino Ciccarelli - than Leino.
In the case of Leino, he played well, got paid, then coasted. He wasn't the first to do that, and won't be the last.

Leino and Prucha were definitely two of my favorites over the years. Prucha did have a few good years...feel like he was around for a little longer than Prucha.
Latendresse sticks out for some reason.
Milan Michalek, 60 points in 77 games for the Senators.
Cory Conacher when he had 24 points in 35 games for the Lightning.

Gilbert Dionne.
When I was a young (naive) hockey card collector, I thought I'd jump all over rising card valuation stock market by loading up on Gilbert Dionne rookies in 1991-1992.
Probably bought 10+ of them at $2 or more each.
Yeesh, I thought that was my worst buy ever until I checked the price of my 15+ Kevin Stevens rookie cards (that I had paid $5 each for)...
Shoulda spent that money on SportsSelect... or noody magazines... or Jagr rookies!!! Damn it.
Anything woulda been better than effin these two hacks.

Haha, I remember the warnings on the wall... I traded him after his first year (26pts in 44games) along with Marchand and Green for MacKinnon and a 1st the following year.
Little did I know, the players that I was sending back then were ranked:
Brunner
Green
Marchand
And today it's:
Marchand
Green
