12-team points league. Keep 5. I won this past year with a pretty stacked team and want to maximize value for my depth in the offseason.
Forwards = points. D-men = points plus 0.5 bonus for goals plus 0.5x plus/minus.
Goalies = 2x wins plus 3x shutouts.
Current keepers likely: Malkin, Benn, Laine, Hedman, Talbot.
Non-keepers that hold keeper value (trade bait): Pastrnak, Giroux, Werenski, Jake Allen
I've made a few many-for-one offers for superstars (McDavid, Karlsson) with no luck. Before I move on to offering players for the highest offered draft picks, what are your thoughts on Kucherov as a slam dunk superstar? If I could trade Benn plus an extra piece for Kucherov, is that a clear upgrade?
Benn has carried my team in the two years prior to this last one, so I'm not sure if I am overvaluing him.... But i would have him ranked pretty close to Kuch right now.

Both are top 10 players, neither is a clear upgrade on the other.

I think I would still want Benn but that gap isn't that big.

I agree with Benn having the slight edge, and I wouldn't make the deal 1 for 1, but I wouldn't blame you for making a straight up trade.

Being a keeper and points only, idk. I'm tempted as a 1-1 to make the deal. I wouldn't add to benn though

this would be my thoughts as well - if I was convinced Kucherov's season was for real and he can repeat more than I'm convinced Benn's season was more than a down year and he won't return to pt/gm form.Originally Posted by roenick27

Think you have enough pieces to upgrade some of your keepers I.e. Hedman and maybe even Laine, but trading Benn + for Kucherov is not one
