Pt only you want Theodore.
Tough to say how many points right now until we see how Anaheim's D shakes out and we see who they lose.
Who is the best, Montour or Theodore? In point only league. Who's gonna play more next year and how much pts can they do next year?

Honestly, who knows.
Until the expansion draft goes through, and we see if Vatanen is still with Anaheim next year or not, it's too hard to say much about either other than both are excellent looking prospects. We also don't know what's going on with Cam Fowler. There's plenty of rumors about him being dealt too as he heads into the last year of his current contract and will be due a sizeable raise next year.
As it stands today, both are secondary scoring Dmen who could/should get around 30-35pts, assuming both are still on the team next year. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine.

I give the very slight edge to Theodore, but they are so close in value. One may get a couple more points one year, the other gets more the next.
As a Montour owner, I would love to say it's him, but it's still too early to call IMO.

Anaheim tells us that they think Montour is better because they were playing him over Theodore. So that would be my choice.
It's a literal coin flip. I have a feeling it'll be Montour long term as the pure point getter, but it could easily be Theo.
Both are solid assets moving forward.

Keep on, keepin' on.
True, but the Predators also played Suter over Weber in 2005-06 when both players were rookies. The following season, Weber took off while Suter took a back seat. Suter eventually had a couple of solid seasons but nothing compared to Weber's success IMO.
I think 2017-18 will show us more which one could be the real deal... heck maybe/probably both of them will be studs! If they can be as impactful for a franchise as Weber and Suter were/are, I think all of their respectful owners will be quite pleased!

Montour for two reasons. As Rataylor stated above it seems like management favors Montour over Theodore.
Second reason since this is for fantasy purposes, I believe Montour easily gets more points in ANH than Theodore gets in LV ... call it a hunch.
I like Montour. He shoots a lot and should get more multi-cat stats........Pick my last keeper here http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...Dynasty-League

Arrrgh, I knew you were going to say that if I was going to use that example
Ok, forget the example then... I just think we need to give them a full year to see just how good they really are and who management favors since the sample size currently used is fairly small.
Nonetheless, I'm happy you said Montour since I'm rooting for the kid to succeed!

I traded Hertl to pick up Montour two months ago, and acquired Schenn for my Theodore once playoffs were complete. I believe they are both very close, but from what I've seen on Anaheim message boards and through some other more-experienced hockey comments I have read, Montour is who I'm taking a chance on. I did feel that Montour was much more involved in the offense, getting into good scoring chances down low and was trusted with more top-4 icetime as playoffs went along. Again, both guys are great but I'm leaning towards Montour.

Agree with Rataylor's comment - I was hoping that the expansion draft would create enough room for both but if Vatanen stays then it buddies the water from a deployment stand point
