Options at Third Overall...

Hey Team,

Im the owner of picks 3, 11, and 13 in our first round this year (we gave a freebie first to a new guy taking over a dreadful team). !2 man, 17 keeper league.

Most players available are from the this upcoming and the previous two drafts plus vets that were dropped. Hischier and Patrick will go 1/2.

Intriguing options are:

Heiskanen
Fiala
Arvidsson

McAvoy

Suzuki


Darling is the easy answer as he's the most likely to produce immediately and goaltenders hold a lot of value. However, I'm a prospect junkie to its tempting to grab Boeser or even Arvidsson (not really a prospect)

Shooting for a vet D at 11 - Yandle if he's there, and then maybe the prospect swing at 13.

I would take the one that holds the most immediate value. Based on this list, that's either Darling or Arvidsson. I'm a big Arvidsson fan personally. It's hard to really siphon out Darling's actual role in Carolina this year, platoon with Ward? and then #1 next year?

Obviously he was signed to be the #1, but does that occur immediately? Makes me lean to Arvidsson personally

Can't go wrong with Arvidsson or Darling.

I really like McAvoy too - he'd likely be my personal pick. He's going to be a real stud sooner rather than later.

Boeser would be my next pick.

Darling still isn't a clear cut starter. I'm not as sold on Carolina as everyone else is. Arvidsson is a bit more proven, but in the limited time he had with Vancouver, he looked incredible.

I've got Darling and Arvidsson right at the top of this list, then Boeser. I have it on good authority that Boeser won't last past 5 and Darling won't last past 6 so whomever I take a three, it's pretty unlikely I snag any of my next few targets at 11.

Likely shoot for Yandle at 11 and then one of the remaining prospects like Yamamoto, Pettersson, Tolvanen, Eriksson-Ek at 13.

The value on tendies really makes me lean Darling and he'd likely be a suitable tandem three for me with Hellebuyck in case one of Price or Andersen ends up on the shelf.

I didn't go Darling there, I'd have to grab a prospect goalie like Shestyorkin in the mid rounds. Gotta have a 4th goalie for wheeling and dealing purposes.

That's how I see them as well. Maybe Ek ahaead of EP purely for the wait time on Pettersson

There's a chance that Darling goes at two.. is still take Arvidsson over Patrick though I think.
