    Default Varlamov or Halak

Cap league. H2H. Cats are W, Sv, Sv%. GAA, SO

    Which one would you prefer?

This would be for my third goalie. Two starter spots; daily setups. My other goalies are Dubnyk and Anderson.

    Varlamov, for sure.

He was a top ~12-15 goalie in 2 of the last 3 years. Can you guess which year he wasn't?

Avs also hired his old goalie coach this offseason.

If he can stay healthy he is a very good goalie and one of a handful of workhorses in the league.

    Halak is a huge ?

I think both are questionable choices at this point. I still think Halak stays in NY until his contract is up. His workload will depend on who plays better. I think Weight is more than happy to start the guy who is winning between Halak or Greiss. Varlamov is usually a goalie I avoid at all costs. He's always been an injury question mark and nothing has changed for him. I dont question the skill level, I simply cant trust him to stay healthy.

For me, flip a coin. Neither guy should be counted on to help your fantasy team.

Can you wait until after the NHL+expansion drafts to make your decision? I feel like the 2 teams involved here, Colorado and NYI, may look differently after the drafts (i.e. Avalanche lose Pickard or Isles trade Halak)
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)

Won't halak also be a possible expansion selection? Not getting much publicity as an option but he can support 'weak' teams and is arguably better suited to them...

both are injury prone, both have teams who have other options... flip a coin but for me I take Halak as I fancy his opportunity to move and to post better stats
