    For goalie ranks Dobber lists:

    Rask - 7
    Allen - 22

    NHL.Com fantasy ranks lists:

    Allen - 5
    Rask - 11

Not to read too much into the rankings, but just adds another layer of uncertainty which one to go with.

I've often been confounded by many rankings list out there from traditional hockey sources (NHL, TSN, etc.). For example, the NHL.com rankings you reference also have Klingberg ranked as the #25 fantasy D-man. Carlson at #32. I can't imagine what they're looking at to justify that.

But another thing to keep in mind generally: the rankings on NHL.com appear to be seasonal rankings. Some critical thought is necessary if you're looking at those lists from a dynasty perspective.

I prefer Rask to Allen. Allen still has not proved he can be a #1 goalie with a full work load. Last year was his first opportunity and in my opinion it was a fail. Yes, he finished strong, but don't forget the stretch where he couldn't stop a beach ball to save his life. He was positively abysmal. Guy was offering him up in my league for a bag of pucks and he had no takers.
