    Krug!

Unless Shattenkirk gets signed by Boston.

I'd take Krug no question. Krug's value is on the rise while Weber's is going the other way.

Krug, by a wide margin. Boston tried molding Krug into an all-around guy two seasons ago, but last season he was back to being deployed to generate scoring. And that's what he'll continue to do, with even more benefits now that Julien is gone.

I like Krug's role more for offensive production plus he'll have more longevity.

    Push.
I actually think Krug is fortunate to get 6ppg, he slings a lot on net - there is a focus on just "getting pucks through" these days - but Krug's shot is nothing special.
Meanwhile, I still think that bomb of Weber's is really valuable on a PP.

Both guys can put up 25esp + 25ppp, though 45-50pts is their wheelhouse.
I think Weber had a down year with only 15 ESA. He'd gotten 19 ESA each of previous 3 years.

    Krug has better passing.
Krug shoots more (by getting shots through to net).
Weber is more likely to have his shot go through.
    Weber plays more minutes.

Its a coin toss for me.
I'm probably still taking Weber if I'm forced to bet.
He hasn't had a major injury past 9 seasons (missing 0-4gp per year).
At soon-to-be 32... he's showing he still has game.

I take Krug but I think they are pretty even. If it's a keeper or dynasty Krug is the easy choice because of the age. But if it's a one year league or if you want to compete for the title and you can trade Krug for Weber +, I would look at that because I think the points will be in the same range for the next two years between both.

Krug for me as well but I could see Weber out-pointing him for another year or two

    Agree with JP

have to go with P7 though - Krug is made for the pp right now but after McAvoy's showing dos he eat into some of that time? Remember we didn't get any insight how they would work on the same team as Krug missed the play offs....

weber is undisputed in Montreal and probably even more so with Sergachev gone and that could offset the youth of Krug depending on your own window to win

Short term, I want Weber. Long term, give me Krug and by long term I am talking 3-5 years because thats how long I think Weber has to keep ahead of Krug, if ever so slightly. Short term, for the next 1-3 years, I'd want Weber.

I'm surprised about the Weber love, especially after a second straight season of SOG decrease and 11 points in his final 26 games to end the season. To me he didn't look like the same player out there, while Krug's already lofty scoring rate was actually at 56 points once Julien was gone. Give me Krug by a wide margin.

A point I outlined though - can you predict how his ice time is impacted by McAvoy? As they didn't play together for us to get that insight
