2020 Olympics to Include 3-on-3 Basketball Half-Court, Other New Sports

Just like the last several Olympics the IOC is radically (IMO) shaking up the sports offered focusing on young, hip, "alternative" sports at the expense of the old classics.

The biggest inclusion is that the 2020 games will include 3-on-3 Half Court Basketball.
FIBA already has some tournaments in this format, here are the key rules:

1 basket on 1 half-court
2 teams of 3 players and up to 1 substitute per team
12-seconds shot-clock
basket worth 1 point, 3-pointer worth 2 points
must clear defensive steal/rebound beyond 3 point line
1st team to reach 21 points or best after 10 minutes win

BMX Freestyle
sports climbing,
skateboarding,
surfing,
baseball and softball,

So they will have both 5 on 5 and 3 on 3?

Also, excited for baseball and softball to be back!

Surfing, BMX, Skateboarding, and climbing will be more interesting than i think people think. The issue tho moving forward with surfing and climbing is going to be authentic vs man made. Apparently professional athletes for these sports hate the man made stuff, and how can you have surfing always in the olympics if like Houston gets the Olympics lets say? It'll have to be man made.

Where's ball hockey? #disappointed

So I guess 3 on 3 "ice" hockey is coming?

The Olympics can suck it. We need more synchronized diving and ski ballet and maybe pole dancing.

The IOC gets silver in corruption, second only to FIFA, who set the gold standard in corrupt sports organizations.
