Default Salary Cap Final Keeper Decisions

So for the past month and a bit I have been trying to decide which way to go keeper wise. This is for the 2nd team in signature. I also won the league, finally this year, if that helps with the decisions I should make.

I am stuck on some of my more expensive players. Salaries are for next year.

    C - Crosby 70
    C - Rakell 6
    C - Scheifele 11
    LW - Arvidsson 5
    LW - Ehlers 6
    LW - Panarin 6
    RW - Kucherov 11
    RW - Seguin 54
    RW - Wheeler 27
    D - Josi 17
    D - Klingberg 8
    D - OEL 27
    D - Werenski 5
    D - McAvoy 2
    G - Allen 11

    Reserve - Bjorkstrand (RW) 2

    Total Salary: $268 of $300

    Drops: Konecny 5, Letang 58, Shattenkirk 46, Eaves 5, Rask 23, Sprong 2, Fischer 2

or I could go this route....

    C - Crosby 70
    C - Rakell 6
    C - Scheifele 11
    LW - Arvidsson 5
    LW - Ehlers 6
    LW - Panarin 6
    RW - Kucherov 11
    RW - Bjorkstrand 2
    RW - Wheeler 27
    D - Josi 17
    D - Klingberg 8
    D - OEL 27
    D - Werenski 5
    D - Shattenkirk 46
    G - Allen 11

    Reserve - McAvoy 2

    Total Salary: $260 of $300

    Drops: Konecny 5, Letang 58, Seguin 54, Eaves 5, Rask 23, Sprong 2, Fischer 2

or, maybe somebody could point me in another direction.

I have tried to trade Letang and Shattenkirk, but nobody is interested. I haven't thrown Seguin out for offers yet, I have had offers for Wheeler, but only a 1st rd pick which wasn't high and a 1st rd pick (not high) and Connor.

Any help or strategies are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm with BB on this. You can dump one of Crosby or Seguin next season if necessary, but for now that roster should do you just fine.

So 2 votes for Sprong over Bjorkstrand and 1 vote for Konecny over Bjorkstrand.

I like the idea of Sprong over Konecny, only because of position with RW eligibility but will Sprong be playing in the NHL next year?

Thanks for the input so far gents!

Sprong could easily supplant Sheary and/or Guentzel next season - he's a good risk/reward keep.
