Friends, Dobberites, this is for the league in sig... in win now mode and I feel like my window is about to slam shut. I had a fire sale on draft picks to stock up for the playoffs but alas, I lost out in the semi-finals yet again. Who are my ten to keep? Any advice on players to dangle for picks/upgrades? Here's how I see it:

I think I would make the exact same selections in your position. You will need to work on getting a bit younger this season but for the most part I think you can compete with that core for a couple more years. The players you have which are "old" are still mostly top players in the league. You might not have a young 22 year old franchise player, but you can spend this year looking for one. I think my feeling on rebuilding would be don't try to convert your 30 something stars into 19 year old maybes. Try to get similar value at a slightly younger age, then see if you can do it again to get even younger. Otherwise, don't sell low on guys like Ovie or Malkin just because of their age. Their value to you is probably higher than it is on the trade market.

I'd have the same 10 that you have.

I'd be dangling Rinne to see what I could get. I'd also consider trying to package some players to get an upgrade on Carlson as your last keeper. Not a knock on Carlson, I think he will have a better season next year but it doesn't look like there's a huge gap in dmen scoring, the drop from Carlson to Leddy isn't much, you can probably redraft some dmen easier.

I don't think I would change anything either. Silfverberg looked great in the playoffs though. He hasn't been able to duplicate that in the regular season however.
I'd be looking to sell high on Malkin and his very good (so far) playoff run. You know he is going to be injured throughout the regular season, and I'd see if there is someone willing to take him for an up and coming young centre (a Scheifele or Johansen maybe) and a better draft pick...something like that anyways.

Keith over Carlson maybe, But there are a lot of people who think J Carlson will have a much better year next season.

You might want to just keep it the way you have it.

Hearing that Alzner is all but done in Washington, and knowing what an anchor he was on Carlson for a large portion of the year. It could very well be that Carlson has a nice bounce back year.

As others have said - well thought out ten and I'm not sure there is much deviation from it. I'm not entirely convinced on Bob but he is the best of the goalies you have and I like JC to come back nicely
