    Default drop 5

so my league has a 30 man roster with 25 keepers, pretty sure Niskanen/Borowiecki are the only sure cuts atm and maybe Foligno/Gudas are expendable, not sure about Gudas since them PIMS/HITS/BS are nice, team & leagues point format are in SIG, hoping for some opinions (gonna be looking to potentially make a offseason trade this is worst case situation)

basically comes down to which 5 out of the following do I cut?:

Keller *potential superstar in the making?, 7 points in 8 games at World Championships*
E.Lindholm *started to show signs of taking the next step during 2nd half of season*
N.Ritchie *big hitter and pims, power forwards are good for my league*
Zibanejad *looked like he was gonna take the next step before injury and like Galchenyuk fell off after returning*
    Borowiecki *hits hits hits*
Niskanen *2nd offensive option in WSH behind Carlson, unless Orlov usurps him*
    Gudas *hits and pims*
Silfverberg *over a PPG in playoff career, has to turn this to regular season success no?*

I a league like that in less likely to hold on to prospects... But does depend on trade value and your goals... In it to win it now and based on categories I'd drop Keller, Trouba, Niskanen, Silvferberg and a toss up between Ritchie and Zib... Have to think of Rigchie can take a step forward offensively, combined with his physicality, that he outproduces Zib... Though I'm still not sold on Kane so maybe I could be tempted to drop him instead

I wouldn't drop keller and lindholm.
But it's uo to how bad you want to win this year. A guy like ritchie might be worth more this year in a league like this than keller

Zibs and Niskanen are the easy first two cuts. No further comment needed, they're a tier below the rest.
After that it gets muddy. Silferberg would be my next cut, and then Lindholm.

The final one is extremely tough based on your settings. I'm going to go off the board and say Galchenyuk. He's more name value than points value at this point, let alone a multicat league like yours.

yeah I definitely agree w/ the Galchenyuk point I'm hoping I can move him this offseason while people are still somewhat high on him for "potential" sake

You have a complicated scoring setup. Can you actually post what all these guys scored for you last year just to give us a better idea?

As it stands, I would drop Niskanen, Gudas, Zibanejad, Ritchie and Silfverberg and keep Keller, Lindholm and Borowiecki.
But knowing how many points they got would allow me to give you better advice.

If you can make some trades for draft picks and to free up space, even better.

Re enforces my thoughts... Keller is a stud prospect but goes on your aspirations the only one I think I'm off on is Silv but with his scoring game maturing I think I still prefer Ritchie

    Drop

Ziba- nyr is si murky for fantasy hockey purposes.
Silf- until he does it over a full season ill defer to a different option.
Niskanen- because i absoutely would nit drop trouba.
Boro- his peripherals kind of came out if nowhere and he has ni iffensive uoside to help hedge ur bets. By next year he mught be.
Ritchie- the hardest cut. If you can get an asset for him id try that route or even trading someone else to keep space for him

    Keep?

Keller- because... Keller!!! In my books hes not even a gamble at thus point your ground floor is maybe an average "star" player. Upside is top 25 in the league.
Gudas- i dont even love him but his 3.5 in ur format seems like upper echelom from a dman. Unlike boro hes got fairly projectable peripherals at this point so i feel safer with gambling on him as a guy whi has very modest offensive upside.
Lindholm- with 2.9 hes right in the ballpark with those other guys and thats after recovering from a brutal start. If he can maintain his second half paace - and i think he can- youre pribably looking at a significant step above (most) of the guys on that list.
Trouba- he wasnt on ur origunal liat but someone else reccomended that. Like lindholm his season was maskes by a brutal first half. He took major steps this year towards becoming a legitimate top pairing dman. Cherry picking a bit but aftwr his holdout and subsequent 12 game pointless debut he baaically scored at a 55 point pace with great sog and goal package a as well.

Just my two cents. Giid luck- some tough calls in there...
