    Default Sam Bennett

Does he bust out this season?

Really only entering his 3rd season In NHL6.

Been offered him for my ANylander In a
    Multicat salary cap league.

Nylander Jr. Probably has a little more offensive upside (although I don't think his ceiling is as high as Willy) than Bennett, but in multicat I think Bennett could become a Kreider. 55 ish points and solid multicat producer. I think I'd prefer Bennett.

The other owner is afraid of the next contract from Bennett's standpoint. You don't want to give up Nylander's rookie years.

I really like Bennett and think you should counter for something, but not Nylander. Maybe Meier or Sprong if you can pull it off for one of their rookie deals.

I think Bennett is the better multi-cat player here, and despite the salary cap issue, he'd be worth acquiring for Alex Nylander.

I agree with EB that you should try to counter and hang on to Nylander, but don't underestimate Bennett's upside based on this past season.

How does your overall cap look? In a multi cat league I do prefer Bennett but depends what that contract costs you in terms of your overall squad... In a cap league like this I always believe when absorbing the 'bigger' contract especially for an ELC guy there is more to be squeezed from the initial offer

I think Bennett is going to be a good player, CGY will find the right spot for him in their line-up and he will be top 6 everyday, soon enough.
I think his rookie season is more true to him than his sophmore slump. I like Bennett over Nylander here.
[I think Nylander wil be good too, FWIW, just prefering Bennett]
[And I think a lot of, incl CGY, wasn't quite expecting such a terrific middle 1/3rd from M.Backlund]

I'm not so sure I'd really worry about Bennett's NEXT contract. This kid screams bridge deal. 18-18 followed up last year by 13-13 ... 36 and 26pts. I can't see this being more than a one or two year 2-3mil deal for him to earn his next contract (Brian Boyle put up 13-12).

In a multi-cat, this deal s worth it. I'd rather take potential hit in scoring for the multi-at depth

I am a big fan of ANylander but I'd make this trade, even with Bennett's contract coming due. I agree with lucafen that his next deal won't be that bad.

I personally like the upside of all of Bennett, Sprong, and Meier over Nylander. Meier vs. Nylander is the closest.

Dang that isn't the team in my signature.
I'll post it later. Have lots of cap space. Took over this team late last season. Finished dead last.
