Forsberg for Gaudreau
I have just been offered Gaudreau for my Forsberg. The research and questions I have asked over the past month on Gaudreau tells me not to make this deal. Gaudreau has more name value than anything in a roto league. Gaudreau lacks in hits and blocked shots and he doesn't kill penalties. So there's 3 categories right off the bat he won't contribute to. I feel like I should keep Forsberg but let's hear what the board has to say.

I'll choose Forsberg. You don't have SOG, which favours Forsberg, but even if Gaudreau outpoints him, I can't see him scoring many more goals (if at all). Really his only significant advantage would be in assists and Forsberg's peripherals (as you mentioned - hits and blocked shots) give him more well-rounded production.

In your league it's Forsberg no question. The only thing john will have on Filip next year is assists.

I'm not even sure Johnny Hockey has all that much name value in a roto league. This question is only interesting in a points only format....

I agree with the rest on here. for multi-cat you go Forsberg. Though I do think Johnny has 80+ pt potential and I'm not sure Forsberg does. Gaudreau in roto or multi-cat leagues actively hurts you in hits/bs

Same here! I do own him so my opinion may be a tad biased here but the kid has great upside points-wise! Add the multi-cat aspect and it's a no-brainer IMO.Originally Posted by Sulla

I know hes got an established level of production but i actually feel like ff has one more gear left to hit. If he can dind consistency one of these seasons i think hes actually an oitside thrwat for 40 goals and/or point per game territory...
