With news the bishop will be in Dallas for the foreseeable future what's his value? Might take a stab at him but it's always about the price. Sig is below. Also have the 7th and 14, 28th picks in this years prospect draft.

I like Bishop short term and love him long term in Dallas. Lehtonen (or Niemi) will be able to take some starts off him if he falters. And the Star still have a bit of a problem at defense. But he has the big contract and is the guy from here on out. I think he has the potential to be a top 5-10 goalie, but I think he will be closer to 10 than 5 this upcoming year.

Presently the asking price is puljarrvi plus plus. Which doesn't interest me.

If it's for the team in your signature, I like your goalies as is. I agree that the price is too steep

I agree with pmorrow. Bishop's stat line will be somewhere in the top 7-10 goalies next season with Dallas IMO. Quite good overall but not elite.

Dallas would need to acquire a few top 4 dmen before I consider spending a big on Bishop next season. Your goalies seem fine, not worth pursuing unless its super cheap.

With Benn's extension kicking in and Sharp/Hudler/Hemsky off the books theyll be in for an interesting offseason. Theres a universe where they find a way to dump both Lehtonen and Niemi and acquire a few dmen along the way. The Central is a tough division with Chicago, Stlouis, Minnesota and Nashville as is.

As of right now Bishop looks like a top 10-15 goalie to me. If Dallas upgrade their defence I can see him around 6-10

Time to buy was when he was in LA with Quick.. Now Dallas has him a lot of people will be loathe to love him before seeing what's there. As others have said it doesn't address the issue of Dallas' D and I'm not as down on Lehtonen as everyone else is - box scores tell you one part of the story IMO. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out until October and I'm reserving judgment until then...
