I think it's still unclear how much time he will get in the NHL next year. top 6 I don't see, at least not a whole season there.
But I think I'd keep him above anyone from this draftnoutside of hirschier or patrick
Hey guys,
I'd like to hear your opinion on whether Dubois is going to be in the top 6 next year in CLS or if he's more likely to have a bottom 6 role with occasional games in the top 6.
I'm wondering whether I keep him entering the 2017 draft in my keeper, points only league or if I try to go for other rookie forwards (I won't have access to Patrick, Hischier).
Thanks for the input!

I wouldn't be surprised if Dubois is not in the NHL next year. If you are thinking just next year, I'd look elsewhere (unless you only have access to players from this year's draft; if that were the case - just hold PLD).
Agree with Al - right now looks like he is better suited for the wing which does him no favours re the NHL next season so can't see him getting much/any time there next season
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Welcome to the forums.
I think he's back in the Q for another year next year.

Columbus top 6 is set for next year.
Thanks all for welcoming & answering
I might try to redraft him in this case, I feared he might not make the team and the consensus here seems to be he's not ready (or at least not top6 material) next year.
Do you guys think he has enough upside for me to stash him for 2018-2019?
(thanks again)
No one will really be able to tell until camps in Sept. a lot can change between now and then in terms of preparation and readiness on his part. Personally, I can see him, if he makes the team playing at least the first quarter of the year on 3rd line. bring him along slow, keep it simple. less likely to try to hard on the 3rd line vs. top two lines. It feels like where he plays next year is really going to be entirely up to him & how he shows up in camp.

I do think he'll play in the NHL next season but impossible to know if his rookie season will remind us more of Pavel Zacha or Sebastian Aho.
Dubois is not very strong in points-only leagues but difficult to know if he's better than your alternatives when we don't know what those are. I'd rather have Dubois than a 5th overall pick this year for example (if only 2017 draft class is available).
I'm pessimistic about Dubois next year. Not so much about him but the depth in front of him. The team did so well this year so they're not going to be looking to force changes. Dubois will have to come in looking like a star to climb the depth chart right away.

I believe Dubois will go back to Junior. He was unimpressive this season.
They barely had space for Bjorkstrand this year.
