I need to turn these 6 into 5 by the end of summer:
Seguin, Panarin, Ovi, Karlsson, Holtby and Talbot

The McDavid owner swears he won't move him but his keepers are a little rough and he's had a hard on for Holtby for years. Who's the 2 you use as bait to try to get McD?

This. I'd offer him any 2 of your listed keepers for McDavid. Seguin + Holtby is a good mix of stud goalie and younger forward.

I would not move Karlsson with one of the others. That's just two steep. having the most consistent #1 D in fantasy hockey & McD would be sick.

Good time to offer up Seguin - before the Hitch effect sets in. And you have Talbot to cushion the blow of losing Holtby. First try Panarin and Holtby (Panarin is weaker in PPP and SOG), but be prepared to fake begrudgingly settle on giving him Seguin and Holtby.

I was going to suggest Seguin and Holtby as well. That seems like a fair price to pay, but I wouldn't want to be doling out any more than that.

holtby and karlsson should get it done but I don't think I'd pay that. if probably try panarin-seguin-and a goalie and take mcdavid and his teams worst keeper. to have ovi, karlsson, mcdavid and either holtby or talbot. that's a crazy keeper list.

Personally, in a keep 5, I would happily give any of the two you mentioned for McDavid, but I think it will take more in ways of a pick or additional pieces.

Limited keeper, the bets player in the game has a skyhigh value. If I owned him, I wouldn't be moving him.

I think including Karlsson is probably necessary to get McDavid, though thats probably not where you'd start. I would do it, though I imagine many here would not. As amazing as Karlsson is you are adding 20-30 points from him to McD and to me that trumps whatever positional arguments can be made. I dont even know if that would get it done though TBH, they sound pretty intent on holding onto him long term.

Agreed, in a full keeper or dynasty Karlsson + Holtby might be too much, not in a keep 5.

Given that you have 6 solid keepers sitting there it's not even Karlsson + Holtby for McDavid. It's Karlsson + Holtby for McDavid + Panarin.

I don't know... I think the gap in points you'd lose between Karlsson and other D-men and between Holtby and other goalies would be more than the gap between McDavid and, say, Seguin. I still think it's good to go for McDavid, but I wouldn't give up Holtby AND Karlsson.
