For my second team in sig. I'm leaning towards NO, but my defense isn't very good. Or should I be patient and wait for all my awesome prospects to develop? Nylander and a top prospect is what he countered with, but should I maybe offer Bennett and Strome? or Hanifin and Puljujarvi or something like that? Or just stay away from Letang?

NO. Big fat no.
I like Letang but he spends far too much time injured to be giving up that much high-end youth.
I am not saying to not make a play for him but find a different way or look at a less expensive option.
They best trades are sometimes the ones you don't make.

I would do the 2nd deal ASAP but not bother with the first. The first one is close but I prefer what you have. The 2nd one is clearly in your favour.

I think Letang is far from finished, and if he can come back at a reasonable semblance of his past self then now is the time to get him for less than true value.
