Advice needed - Trade done

Hi!
I did a trade few days ago and I wish to read you about that.

It's a salary cap league.
Points only
12 teams
In each team, 12 forwards, 5 defensemens and 2 goalies count

Because of the salary cap, I will drop Ryan Murray and Kopitar (annual salary) so I traded Tyson Jost for a defenseman (Gosthisbehere)

Jost will have a 925 000$ annual salary and Gosthisbehere will be RFA

What do you think about this trade?

Trade Helps your D - just depends on how much Ghost signs for and where you are at on your Salary cap. You get instant help from Ghost while Jost will be a few years away from making a significant contribution. Points only you don't need Murray - should be easy to draft someonr to replace.

With the Kuznetsov, Bennett, Drouin and Terravainen new contract and the salary dumps of Murray and Kopitar..I think I will be ok for the cap.

I always wait until we know what the guys are signing for before making drops (especially if they are drops as it doesn't hurt me to look) and as has been said not sure we can judge this until we see those contracts for
