Hails back to an era when people cared about those things (gentlemanliness.. a la 1930s-50s..). I love this award but if you pick it based on things other than who has the lowest penalty minutes, then you gotta watch a lot of hockey to find the most gentlemanly players... I would give it to the guys who make sure not to run goalies accidentally (who stop short and support themselves gently on the goalie), who make sure opposing players are ok after they smoke them with a big hit... who face anyone who wants to fight them after they throw a big hit (instead of turtling or skating away behind larger, meaner teammates)... Who don't trash-talk the other team.. Doesn't jaw at the refs... To me, those are gentlemanly qualities. Give it to one of those guys. Just pick the one who does all those things most often in one season. Like I said, you gotta watch a lot of puck.

lol... um..... um.....zip. I'd have given it to him every year.. except maybe when he got like a hundred penalty minutes.. Then again, I never saw him play except for in footage. Maybe he was a dirty son of a b*** on the ice. But doesn't he look so damn gentlemanly?
