I'm interested fantasy wise wherever he lands but it depends on the price. I see a 30-30 season out of him if he plays close to 82

Devils GM Ray Shero told LeBrun Kovalchuk’s agent Jay Grossman confirmed his client wants to return to the NHL next season, and that he has given Grossman permission to talk to other teams.

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league

I still can't see the Devils getting much in return. Either a cap trade to offset Kovalchuk's new deal (while filling a need for NJ) or a mid-tier prospect. Devils have a lot of needs so any value is a step forward for them.

He's going to want what Radulov got at minimum, plus he wants to go to a contender so that already limits his options.

Don't see him getting a big return either, equivalent value to a late 1st at best, more likely a 2nd + decent prospect.

Any guesses where Kovy ends up?

    I'll guess LA.

They're still competitive (if no longer elite). They still need a top-3 winger for Kopitar. Kovy's lack of footspeed won't get exposed on this roster. Capspace is an issue but I'm sure they can convince Vegas to take Brown in the expansion draft for extra considerations.

    Kovalchuk for Kempe & 2018 3rd?

Lol. I'd rather a 4th round pick. Devils already stuck playing Lovejoy 20+ minutes. Not to mention Moore and Merrill...

Under Sutter it could work. But who knows how it will work under Stevens, plus I doubt Black & Co. want more old and slow forwards

I think people are massively underselling how it expensive it will be to convince Vegas to take awful contracts.

I think everyone expects LV to just take all the other teams crappy contracts. LOL! Boy, are a lot of people going to be in for a real surprise.
