RIP Murphy
Sorry to hear that you lost your best buddy Ginfuzz.
My heart is saddened/heavy/broken as I had to put my best friend to rest this morning. Murphy was a 14 year old miniature schnauzer that was overcome with cancer that spread throughout his body very rapidly. Its one of the hardest decisions me and my wife will ever make but it was the right decision.
On a brighter note, we will be welcoming a new baby girl to our family at the end of May. So goes the circle of life

sorry for your loss man
One of the hardest things you'll ever do. Very sad At least you know he isn't suffering any more so take comfort in that.
Circle of life for sure though. Brighter days ahead.
As an animal lover, I am very sorry for your loss GinFizz. Tough call to make, but I am sure you made the correct one.
@SmittysRant
Sorry for your loss. It's the worst thing we do as pet owners. I had to put down my 15.5 year-old Westie last June and I still miss her.

sorry for your loss , must be a tough day . R.I.P Murphy
Condolences. Our lab turns 4 today and I am already afraid of the day she has to be put down. The baby will be a great addition to your family. And you will have to get another dog - never to replace but to start anew...cheers

sorry for your loss. i have a 14 year old poodle/terrier and worry about him lots. pets are like family
Pets are family in my books. Sorry to hear about your mate getting cancer. Tough times.
My condolences, man.
We recently had to put down my mom and dad's 17 year old pug terrier, Lincoln. I've been out of my parent's house for longer than 17 years, so he wasn't really "my" dog, but man I cried a lot that night we took him to the vet's that last time. My dad still doesn't like to talk about his little buddy without getting teary eyed.

I'm still saddened to think about my family's pet cat. It never had health issues but then within the course of a month went from his usual self to not running around, to then not jumping, to finally not eating. We take him in, and boom - pancreatic cancer. They said it would be too painful - physically for him and mentally for us - to bring him home to die, so we reluctantly agreed to let him be put down. We went into a room and even though he had spent the past two nights in a loud and unfamiliar place and probably was scared, he still saw us and rolled over purring for us to pet. We stayed with him the whole time until finally he was at peace. I still have a small box with a bit of his fur that I try to look at once a year.
Pets are very special.

Me and my buddy watched a lot of hockey games over the years. (My wife put the sweater on her) Still miss her and think about her often.
