Canucks sign Jonathen Dahlen to ELC

He's doing and saying all the right things to push for a job in Vancouver this fall. That said, he's a looooong shot.

The most interesting part will be if the Canucks can convince him he's close enough to the big team to stick in the AHL to be eligible for call ups or if he heads home and plays a full season in the SHL.

Which scenario is best for his development?

I personally would like to see him have a full year in the SHL, then AHL before cracking the lineup. No need to rush him into the lineup.

Dahlen will apparently start the season with Utica.
