Trouba, a full season he's pushing 50pts this year. McDonagh is meh offensively.

Whatis the pick though? a 1st rounder makes this a lot closer, a late pick, I take Trouba.

I'm with Luca on this one. Close enough that the pick makes the difference.

In a points only pool I want Trouba over McDonough.

McDonough has been getting his fair share of the NYRs PP time over the last few years and he is only OK-Good (40 points). Trouba has yet to get the same PP time with the Jets but this last year put up similar numbers.

I think that even by next season there is going to be a huge difference in their value in a points only league.

I wonder if Josh Morrisey nips at Trouba's offensive opportunities though... Trouba is so good defensively that he just might bear the harder assignments and have to split too much PP time to hit numbers like 45+...?

Early 2nd is the pick. I ended up doing the deal. Everyone talks about McDonough being Meh as a d man, but 40 is good in my books. Plus McDonough is still a key d man in NYR if not their best d man

I like the deal. McDonagh isn't the best offensive Dman, and if/when Shattenkirk signs, he loses PP1 time. He's not a perennial 40pt dman. twice in his career, 33 is more to expect from him next year - esp if SK signs. I think will cut his time further as well.
