His former agent says there is no way he would kill himself. I kinda believe him, only because I feel like some people are just adamant that they will never commit suicide. I actually don't care though and am okay with him being dead. Bad people can all just die and I won't miss them one bit...good football/baseball/basketball/hockey player or not.

I imagine those types of things get said in a large number of suicide cases. It often comes as a surprise.

All except for the grieving family/friends of those lives he took himself.

I don't pretend to know Aaron Hernandez on a personal level. People want to buy the thug-life persona that mass media feeds them, so be it.

Agreed. I just try to step into the shoes of those who's loved one(s) had their life taken by this coward... this result doesn't bring them back but certainly ends the chapters this book.

he was a 1st round talent, fell to the 4th because of "off-field issues". Think a story broke out that he and his school (Florida?) covered up a bunch of failed weed tests. After getting drafted he went on to say he had only 1 failed drug test.

Drafted same yr as Gronk, talent wise AH could have been better than Gronk. But as much as Gronk parties and is a goof, he's serious and goes full tilt in everything he does football wise (and loves working out). So who knows if AH would have used that to help push him to be better than Gronk or use that to go into a shell and say "well eff this".

Are you suggesting that he wasn't a thug and the media created his perceived persona?

I think he was a thug and was a terrible human being. I don't believe there was some grand conspiracy from the media to portrait Hernandez unfairly. Have you heard any of the stories about him from his Florida days? The guy had a history of being a really bad person.

Mods... I think it's time to turn comments off on a thread, while share/post worthy has run it's course and does not require any further comment.

Can we put this to rest?

I would like to keep it open because there is now investigations on if it was actually suicide, but it's now reported he had K2 (synthetic weed) in his system when he died. and John 3:16 on his forehead. Interesting how this will all go.

And Odin Llyod's mom is suing for like a million dollars? AH state all has to be settled too including his 1.3mill house.

Or, instead of trying to impose your preferences on the rest of us, you could simply act like an adult and stop reading the thread.

I don't think I said anything offensive to you, or about you or to anyone. I voiced my opinion - which is the intent of this entire site - and made a request . I am not trying to impose anything on anyone nor does my request IMPOSE on you in any way. I think you took offence where none was given (I don't have any clue how). There was nothing non-adult about my request. Once you mature, you'll realize this. sigh...

Wow. I didn't accuse you of offending me or anyone else.

You requested the thread be shut down because YOU don't like it. Why can't you just look away? Obviously there are some people who are still interested in discussing things, so yes, you ARE imposing on us. You are trying to put your morals and preferences above the rest of ours. If you don't like the thread, just don't read it man. Why do you have to ask the mods to stop it?
