    Default Early Keeper help

Thanks to Dobber, these boards, and the Keeping Karlsson podcast, I can proudly say I brought home the championship in my main league this year. Thanks a ton!

But now I'm looking towards next year. It's points only, keep 13. Team roster in sig.

The league is a 4 sport league, which complicates things and makes things easier at the same time. I have two options.
1-Hold my extra chips until the hockey deadline this summer and do 2 for 1's to upgrade my hockey keepers.
2-Start moving spare parts now and upgrade my baseball, football, and basketball rosters. Since my football and basketball teams are pretty stout already, I'd likely focus on baseball, but since that is the current sport in the spotlight, I'd likely be selling off guys at $.70 on the dollar. Even still, I'm likely to take option 2.

I need help determining what 13 guys to keep, and what guys I can start selling off. Here's my take

    No Doubt Keepers
    Kane
    Panarin
    Stamkos
    Matthews
    Allen
    Murray

    Likely Keepers
    Wheeler
    Pavelski
    Barkov
    Shattenkirk
    Weber

    Borderline Keepers
    Kuznetsov
    Granlund
    Guentzel
    Vorachek
    Johansen
    Hellebuyck
    Halak

    Pure Trade Fodder/Drops
    Carlson
    Brodie
    Markov
    Budaj
    Fleury
    Varlamov

That's 11 Definite and Likely keepers, leaving me 2 borderline guys. Is there anyone you would swap out? Is Barkov a Tier 2 or Tier 3 guy? I'd like to keep a 3rd Goalie, should it be Hellebuyck or Halak? Should I buy into the short sample and potential playing partner with Guentzel? Or keep the safer Kuznetsov or Vorachek?

I'd love any and all input, it's greatly appreciated. Rep given
    12 team, keep 13 (4 sport league)
3pts per goal, 2 per assist, 2 per SHG
5pts per win, 3 per shutout, 0.2 per save, -1 per GA

    LW-Panarin, Voracek, Granlund

I'll try and quickly answer a bunch of questions here:
Kuz>Barkov but Barkov belongs in 2, so bump Kuz up
    Helle>Halak
Carlson I think belongs in tier 3.
Weber might be a sell high in a league like this where it's all points based.
With the focus on goals, Vorachek, Johansen may be good sells too as they are mainly assist based.
Brodie through Varlamov are all dumps for whatever you can get - except for Fleury who should be a starter next season. May even be worth selling Helle and Halak and just holding onto Fleury until he gets settled and his value goes WAY up.

Sell Weber. He's officially at the point where his name value is higher than his actual value.

Agree that Kuznetsov should be moved into a keeper spot giving you 12. Carlson may be kept over Weber and a Weber trade paired w/ another fodder piece should yield a great 13th keeper. Doubtful Washington can retain Shattenkirk after this year meaning Carlson will be back in the #1 PP spot again. Definitely keep Helle over Halak - no question here. Fleury should definitely be a starter next year and depending on which team he goes to may be worth more than Helle. (If MAF ends up in Vegas though you gotta cut bait). Sell the rest for picks and see if you can get any upgrades w/ 2 for 1's.

    Agree w/ Eskimo completely:
"Kuz>Barkov but Barkov belongs in 2, so bump Kuz up" (100% right)
    "Helle>Halak" (100% right).
"Carlson I think belongs in tier 3." (Definitely belongs in tier 3)
"Weber might be a sell high in a league like this where it's all points based." (As I mentioned above this paired w/ another asset may yield a great piece - Especially if you keep MAF over Helle - Weber + Helle/MAF would get you something nice I'd imagine).
"With the focus on goals, Vorachek, Johansen may be good sells too as they are mainly assist based." (100% right w/ your league settings)
"Brodie through Varlamov are all dumps for whatever you can get - except for Fleury who should be a starter next season. May even be worth selling Helle and Halak and just holding onto Fleury until he gets settled and his value goes WAY up." (Right on)

Sorry, forgot to mention I made a trade for Hedman already, so Carlson is definitely out as a keeper at this point.
I didn't really list guys in each tier in any sort of order. That said, Kuznetsov was one of the guys I struggled with what to do with him. Guentzel is another one.

Should I start considering moving Pavelski anytime soon?

Yeah sell Shea Weber. He's officially on the decline from a fantasy perspective. Still really good, but lots of miles on that body.

PS: How does a 4 sport keeper work? All leagues have the same owners? I'm intrigued.
    12-team Yahoo H2H Keeper League (10 keepers)
    Cats: G, A, P, +/-, PPP, SOG, HITS, SHOTS BLOCKED, W, GAA, Saves, Save%

    Original draft was 2015
Year #1 = Tanked hard (finished last)
Year #2 = Playoff League Champion
Year #3 = Lost in Playoffs but traded Murray for 2nd best odds at #1. (Will draft Dahlin).

    10 Keepers
    Keepers: C.McDavid (C), J.Eichel (C), A.Matthews (C), P.Laine (LW-RW), J.Gaudreau (LW), N.Ehlers (LW-RW), C.Keller (LW), T.Rask (G), A.Vasilevskiy (G) + ??? (Keeper #10)
    Potential Keepers : J.Saros, T.Demko, M.Sergachev, M.Duchene, J.Puljujarvi.
    Other Players: Not worth mentioning...

Basically how you said. Each owner has a NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA team. You can trade a player in any sport for a player in another sport. Or a combination of all 4 sports at the same time. For instance, as the MLB season started and NHL season had ended, I traded Dallas Kuechel for Victor Hedman. Tons of fun. Trades can get a bit bonkers but that only adds to the fun. The real trick is finding the balance to compete in all four at the same time.
