Man... who's stick breaks on an attempt on an empty net?

Hell of a finish. I prefer the Oilers, but the excitement had me cheering for an SJ goal in the last 6-8 minutes. It would have been an awesome overtime, and an awesome game 7 if that's the way it would have went.

No he hasn't. In fact HNIC showed that in the regular season he allowed the least amount of goals five hole (over the other holes) percentage wise.

Bring on the ducks! I agree with EB in that Edmonton's speed should be what kills the ducks. If McDavid thought Pavelski and vlassic were bad, wait until Kesler follows him everywhere. Hope mcd finds a way to fight thru it. I can't wait for this series to start.

    Bring on the Ducks.

Nice to see the Oilers finish this in their first attempt instead of dropping their elimination game. Great character win for some young kids who have struggled with knowing that winning feeling.

I was hoping the Sharks would win because I was hoping their older players would win a Cup but it's also nice to see a young team like the Oilers advancing. I sure hope Klefbom is able to play in round 2 because losing him would be a big blow to the Oilers. I don't understand why he was sitting on the bench when he couldn't play?

Can we vote Cassie Campbell off the island?

"How does it feel to win?"
"How does it feel to score the winning goal"
"How does it feel to play at home?"
"How does it feel to play in front of your parents?"
"Was that a big win in the playoffs on the road?"

    Just vacuous.

Oh man, that last period nearly killed me. To see the Oilers advance past the Sharks, largely with McDavid shut down, speaks volumes to me. That wasn't the McDavid show like was usual this season, but an Oiler TEAM win. Team just needs to kick that flu bug and get healthy for Round 2. It's been a long time since I've been able to watch this!

They've confirmed it was the flu and Klefbhom will be fine for game 1.

I agree tho, they kept putting ice packs on the back of his neck and he wasn't getting any shifts I was like send this guy to the locker room! Maybe he insisted on staying on the bench tho. Tough to say.
