While it is easy for me to complain about not having him in my lineup during this last week of regular season hockey, this sounds pretty serious and I hope he recovers quickly and fully from whatever has him hospitalized.

I also had him on my team (just mentioning that because I was following the updates closely) and I started getting concerned when they weren't saying what the illness was. I assumed the flu but it kept stretching on and on. Then Bylsma had that "he's sick and ill" quote and I knew something serious was up.

He's in the Neuro-ward, which does head injuries, tumours, concussions, and something else. I'm going off memory from last nights recaps.

Yeah, when I heard ICU that sent off major alarm bells. This is most likely very serious. Although people definitely can get sick enough to go from okay to the ICU within a matter of a week, I'm worried it's something that's been with him longer that they just discovered. So I'm thinking tumor. But I'm just guessing. The important thing is he's where he needs to be and hopefully the medical team will do whatever possible to lead him to recovery.

Think they missed diagnosed his eye issue from before? I can't really remember that whole thing, was it just a detached retina?

I also remember he had a BAD case of H1N1 flu back when that went around, so who knows if that maybe did a number on him

I was thinking the same thing. Since he's in nuero, some symptoms possibly could be related/misinterpreted. Regardless hope he recovers quickly.

Maybe he got too close to Kris Letang? In all seriousness though, I hope Okposo fully recovers from whatever is ailing him.

I'm thinking tumor as well, although that's very much on the pessimistic side. The language and secrecy around the Sabres combined with Bylsma's concern has me really worried. No question it's a serious matter, let's hope it turns out not to be as serious as prognosticated.

Any info on his illness since the last update? I haven't read anything which is odd IMO. Is "no news" "good news"?
