Which one to drop / Trade for Liljegren

Hey guys

Our season has finished and we have to give away the player, which are to much in our teams, if we had taken IR-Spots. In my case I have Letang on the IR and hence have to give away one player of the latter one:

C:, Eichel, Kadri, D. Strome, Wennberg, Guentzel
RW: Gallagher, Puljujarvi, Voracek, Marner, Duchene
LW: Forsberg, Gaudreau, Panarin, Ritchie, Rantanen
D: Ristolainen, E-Larrson, Trouba, Faulk, Zaitsev, Letang, Chabot
G:Saros, Talbot, Hellebuyck

Which one ist the one to drop? And second question: I'm thinking about giving away Faulk/Trouba/Larrson for e pick, which garants me Timothy Liljegren. What do you think about that? And which one should I give away, if it's possible? Is one of those three better than Liligreen will be?

What exactly do you mean when you say "give away Faulk/Trouba/Larsson"? Are you saying you are trading away one of these guys for a pick that guarantees you Liljegren? I am going to assume thats Oliver Ekman Larsson as well because of the E-Larsson.

Personally I prefer all three of those guys to Liljegren because of the "known" factor. We know what those young players are already and most still have room to grow. It's the unknown around Liljegren that makes me want to keep these guys. Is there a chance that Liljegren "could" be better than any of those three? Sure, but there's also risk tied into that. For all we know, Liljegren could turn out to be a fantastic real-life Dman but not so great a fantasy one.

If I were going to consider any of your D for Liljegren, it would be Zaitsev but even then, it's a bit of a gamble.

And I have to drop one player without any return because one is still on my IR. Which one should I drop? I don't freaking know it right now.

Well I wouldn't trade any of those three for Liljegren. Maybe in three years when we know more about the player Liljegren may or may not be but not today. I wouldn't anyway.

My one drop would be Zaitsev.

IMO Lilejegren is only the 4th best fantasy D in this years draft year after Heiskanen, Valimaki and Makar ( despite being safer than Makar). So no way you should trade any of those guys for him. Only consideration as Axe stated is maybe Zaitsev. But still i don't think it is a good idea.

According to the dobber-list it is the top fantasy-draft-D-Man of this year...

Always take into account that dobber values readiness a boatload. In long term decisions like keeper leagues that are not on the verge of winning it right away, take it with a grain of salt. And that is with a whole lot of respect towards Dobber and his crew.

I would drop Saros from that list. Only 12 teams and 2 goalies, so he should be easily replaced. And I wouldn't trade any of those D-men for Liljegren.

He could be the best or he could be 4th best, no one knows at this point. That's why it's too risky to acquire him if that's the asking price.

nope I was more tending to Zaitsev or Faulk for Liljegren if I had even proposed a trade.

Btw what do you think about dropping Nick Ritchie? I had him now for the whole year because I'm hoping he will begin to produce more. Where is his upside and will he have the chance with a slightly fading Anaheim to get there?

I'd hold Ritchie. He's still has good upside.
