Did you draft a good batter?

If you're winning, it's based on pitching apparently. I also find you need more than two closers to make SVs a consistently won category. I would dump Carter as he only brings HRs and you're almost never going to win it anyways. Grab a AVG/SB guy in his place.

It's still a valid strategy. No need for him to be mad. Just shows he's insecure about how he plays.

As for the closers, I would use your waiver pick on Treinen. Closing games for one of the best teams in the league would be worth it. Holland is someone I will keep preaching too. He'll pick up more saves than people think. ERA and WHIP may not be as low as other closers though.

I've done this strategy, it works out so much better than what people think. You need to work on Avg and SB, maybe Runs and toss the other stuff out the window. SOLELY focus on pitching, then 2 batting cats. Because of this, don't even have a catcher on your roster, they kill your avg and you can pick up another pitcher because of that.

Its a solid strategy, but a strategy that I don't like... Not to mention that your strategy is not complete like Eskimo said. You need more closers to secure the Saves category.

You can trade one or two of your pitchers for a top batter or a closer..

btw in my first week I just faced a guy with exact same strategy as yours. I destroyed him. After the first 2 days of the week my pitchers performed very well(thanks Dallas) and I decided to bench all of my pitchers to win ERA and WHIP. He didn't had a chance in the batting categories
Sooo there's a big hole in this strategy.

Agreed with John Doe. Usually I go the other way around and make pitching a lower priority, trying to dominate batting. A lot easier to steal the two non-counting categories in pitching than to steal AVG plus another batting category.
