Must be tough as a fan, but I dont really have any sympathy. You've had it good for a real long time. Enjoy the playoffs without the stress. Watch hockey for the love of the game, not the love of the team. It's still fun. Take it from a Flyers fan who's been on the outside looking in too many times.

TBH of they'd snuck in this year they don't really have the team to do anything - truth is I think they've sometimes been more considerate of the streak than being truly competitive but that's just MO. Hopefully now it's over there is no pressure and they can emerge as a power again

The streak was ridiculous, but they need to start retooling. Last time they were a stanley cup contending team was pre-half-lockout. And 3 1st round losses to finish off the streak showed they were tailing off.
Hopefully they can find some diamonds in the rough and get going again.

The Wings have a really solid young core. Get better coaching and improve that defense and I think they can be right back in the Spring Dance next year.

Blashill has been underwhelming but it's not like Holland has given him any help on defense. Their young guys didn't take a step last year and mostly regressed for the majority of this year.
I thought for sureeeeeeeee they'd move one of the younger forwards for some D help but maybe teams just aren't interested.
