Thoughts of Alica Vikander as Lara Croft?
So I have heard that they have really focussed on script and the next Tomb Raider movie is going to be dark. I definitely like the sounds of that. Vikander is a brilliant actress and she is gorgeous, but I am not sure she has the look. One thing for sure, her boobs are too small. Thoughts?

I think she represents the new-age Lara well but obviously they could have cast a bunch of other women before her.

Yeah, I think they could have cast a girl who was a tad more voluptuous. I am not judging, Alicia is gorgeous, just a departure from the franchise Lara Croft.

She wouldn't have been my first choice, but I can get over the boob thing if the movie is well done.
Angelina was the perfect Lara physically, but the movie was brutal.

If I recall correctly, the over-sized boobs in the old game was a bug/error that they decided not to fix.
I have liked a lot of Alicia's work so I have moderately high hopes for this film.

Are we really debating whether a woman is a good fit for a movie role because of the size of her breasts? Who cares. A good movie is a good movie, no matter what the cup size.

Sure, it may not sound great, but.... ummm.
To be fair there was a lot more questioning around here (and negative opinions) when Tom Cruise was cast as Jack Reacher. It is (I think) more of an issue of adherence to character canon than a debate over the merits of breast size.
Also... Hugh Jackman was too tall to be Wolverine.

Relax. Huge bombs is one of the major defining features of the character. You wouldn't cast a big fat guy to play a strung out addict, and you wouldn't cast a skinny guy for a new Rambo reboot. It's just a matter of body type.
Nobody is saying x>y, just that x is more appropriate than y in this particular instance.

I do understand that it may seem silly. However, I do think that getting the look of Lara Croft correct, is a pretty important piece. The was she looks has always been a huge part of her existence. I remember when they cast Daniel Craig as James Bond, everyone was skeptical. Why? Because he is blonde. Now, he turned out to be the second best Bond in history, but the way Bond looks has always been iconic.
I agree that the movie has to be well written and acted in order for me to consider it a success, but having her look the part is important.
