Default Who's my best young keeper?

    Hey Guys.

This really could have gone into the Defense category too.....

    2nd league in sig.

My for sure keepers are - Barkov, Huberdeau, Tarasenko, Landescog, Drouin, Andersen - need to figure out my final.

Debates between...... Bennett, Larkin, Trouba, Parayko, Barrie

I'm wanting to gamble on Parayko or Bennett but I'm wondering if Trouba has finally come into his own or is Barrie and the Avs going to bounce back...

    Thoughts?

I'd be packaging these guys in the offseason to try to get a better player. It comes down to the 3 dmen for me, so I'd trade whichever 2 you can get the best return for and keep the 3rd. If you absolutely can't trade them, I'd lean toward keeping Trouba.

Parayko for me. With Shattenkirk gone for good, he'll be enjoying a healthy bump in TOI next year.

Parayko for me with Bennett close behind. I like Trouba but he's firmly behind the other two in my mind.

Parayko for the same reasons others mentioned. He could be primed for a huge break out. All his underlying numbers suggest that with more ice time and some power play time he could have a breakout year

I concur with me Eskimo Brother. Parayko and then Bennett for me next season. No definite signs of Trouba being moved in the off season, but if he does, maybe we see a change in his value. But he gets zero PP time and does little with the small amount of time given on the PP. As such, I can't include Trouba in the same tier as Parayko and Bennett.

    Bennett for me.

I actually prefer Larkin and even Trouba over Parayko. Don't get me wrong, Parayko is a great young D with a huge opportunity to take a leap forward now that Shatty is gone, but Larkin had a slump after a great first year (I'm banking on a bounceback) and Trouba has comparable numbers to Parayko this season but with almost 20 games less.

I like Bennett and Trouba. I like Parayko but I think Trouba offers more value for your settings. While I get the potential breakout logic for Parayko, I do wonder why we haven't seen it yet.

I would take all 3 over Landeskog.

    Bennett if you want forward.

Trouba if you want D... Trouba is playing lots of minutes and I hope they trade away one of their older guys and give him the reins as the top D man.

Thanks for all the replies guys! If anyone else wants to chime in it would be appreciated.

I'm keeping Landescog because of his multi cat. He puts up a bit of everything and USUALLY is a safe bet for 60 points.
