Default Tough G choices, playoff spot at stake!

I have met my goalie minimum starts, and the only category I'm losing is saves. I'm up in Wins 3-2, SVP .933 vs .917, and GAA 1.75 to 2.67. So I really don't have to start anyone, and if the numbers hold, I get 3 of 4 goalie cats and probably win this round of the playoffs. Neither my opponent or I have any goalie starts on Sunday, so it comes down to Saturday's games.

But my opponent has Quick v. NYR, Crawford @ FLA, and Greiss v. BOS. He's sure to start two. And I have the option of Price v. OTW, Rinne v. SJS and Allen v. CGY. Do I roll one or two goalies? If so, who? They're all at home, all facing good teams, all playing fairly well. Advice??

    Thanks guys!

I might sit everyone if you think you can just hold and advance. If you had to start someone, go with Price.

Hold and then pray. I think this is the best way to go.

    I agree with pmorrow.
jimc21, how many goalies has your opponent played so far? I mean with one average and one solid star he can change his % form .917 to .935 or better...
for example - if he played 6 goalies so far even with two solid starts would be hard to change his % much
but if he played only 2-3 goalies he can easily turn it from .917 to .935 or better

I'm in the same situation btw and I have only Price for the weekend.. but I will start a thread later

the scenario to sit and watch your opponent goalies play solid and turn the % and maybe Wins
will be tough pill to swallow...
but my advice is not to be too greedy and sit your goalies. GL!

What tome are face offs and when do you need to dress them by? If he has an early face off or two for his starters and I can make changes I possibly see what happens in his games first

j0hn_d0e, great question. He has also started 4 goalies this week, but one of those was a short start when Crawford got the hook. So his numbers would be a little easier to change than mine.

Sulla, unfortunately the only late game I have is Rinne at 8pm EST. My others are 7pm starts. He has Quick at 10:30 EST, but he'll certainly start two in any case. I guess I could wait it out for an hour and see how his guys are doing in the second period and roll Rinne if his guys are killin' it.

Ahhh... this sucks! Allen has been hot, but I hate rolling him against CGY. Rinne is facing SJ who has lost 5 straight and is fighting for the lead, and playing a back-to-back. And Price is facing OTW, who can really put up some points. I guess I will bench them all... but I might change my mind before this evening.

Glad to hear more advice if anyone else wants to ring in. Thanks!

I benched 'em all. Price and Rinne had great nights anyway, so I'd have been ok if I had started them. But Crawford shat the bed for my opponent, so all is well. Now up 7-3, I'm a cinch to advance to the championship match-up.

Great to hear I was in a different position than yours. I needed to start Price so he helped me to turn both GAA and %
