    Default Philly/NJ for work

Gonna be just outside of Philadelphia (New Jersey, really) for a couple of days for work.
Thought about wearing my Karlsson jersey to the game there on Tuesday but I may actually get stabbed -right?
    Anything around there?

I heard I should not walk around that part of NJ lol?

Do not even joke with that Dooley! I went to a Flyers-Habs game in Philly and we were 15 guys all wearing our Habs jerseys... We had to go urinate in groups of 4 to avoid getting beat up. The verbal abuse was fun at first but it got tiring and even annoying; those fans are ruthless!

I know this is an isolated case and a bit eccentric but it's still very real:

As for things to do in Jersey, you have a nice 1-2-(3) punch for the early week at the Wells Fargo Centre: WWE RAW on Monday, the Ottawa game on Tuesday and the Hawks are in town for some NBA action on Wednesday. If you've never been to a WWE event, RAW is the real deal. It's like being at a live soap opera taping. The fans are crazy for this type of $h!%. Even if you aren't a fan, it's worth trying once

Also, this may sound old but get yourself a steak an cheese sub from a small grease-joint; it's worth it.

It's not the best area for sure. Also to bass's point imo philly had the absolute worst cheesesteak I've had in my life. Went to genos. They ask if you want cheese whiz on it. I should've known right there.

You're not too far from the shore and Atlantic City which is nice to visit and there is plenty to do in philly that is nice.

Haha noooooooo.... always ask for provolone... they will put "whiz" by default if you don't specify it.

FWIW, I ate twice at Jim's Steaks and once at John's Roast Pork. I haven't had one from Geno's but every time I passed by, it was packed!

I would say don't even go to the game. Philly fans are such utter trash that it's hard to enjoy a game just because you're in a building with 15,000+ of them.

    PS, I'm a Devils fan.

Just wear a flyers jersey? Then they will love you. Just remember not to cheer when the other team scores... that might blow your cover! hah

Of course. They asked. No way would I allow cheese whiz on my $12?(I want to say 10+ years ago) cheesesteak. But even still. It was far beyond subpar. Quite disappointed.

Surprisingly the children's museum in philly was clean and well kept (if you have kids)
