Brand New $$ League

So about half of the guys from my main league are starting up a second league and we are looking for more guys to join. We are at 8 right now, looking to hit from 12-15 teams for a Salary Cap Dynasty Roto league.

Much of the rules are going to be voted on, with structure being taken from our existing league. We run on Fantrax (Premium fee to be evenly divided among all teams in the league, included as part of Entry Fee, which will be voted on as well), as well as in a Facebook group. We have all agreed that this is our preferred combination (we've used Proboards, emails, etc.. in the past and all pale in comparison to using a FB group) and all league members must be on board with this.

I realize that joining a league where most of the rules have yet to be written is a tough sell, but what I can include as far as structure is this:

- Salary Cap
- Dynasty
- Rotisserie
- 3 tiered roster, with waivers to pass between tiers
- Dedicated group of fantasy hockey junkies
- Democratic, fun, fair league with an experienced commissioner

The Entry Fee will not exceed $50 (Fantrax Fee included), and likely not be lower than $25.

The main "catch" is that you *must* be active. Our group is not for a "set and forget" type of player. Our FB group is active and those who ignore it - it is, after all, the main communication hub of our league - or the other members' messages will be replaced.

if it's on the lower end of $25 I've got some interest (mainly because my total leagues are getting expensive). Personally, the more cats the better, makes it more interesting & complicated. I have no roto leagues on the go, so be a fun change - especially with a cap involved.

Sounds good, I've still got your info. And yeah, none of us have any roto leagues so that's one big reason we're changing it up to that.

Let me get a feel for what the guys in the league so far are thinking as far as the fee goes and I'll get back.

So far the vote's pretty split. Quite a few guys are ok with anything in that range. The two amounts getting actual votes are $35 and $50, so right now it looks like $35 might be the number, if that helps anyone interested.

For the record, we've called the vote and the yearly fee is going to be $35 per team. Fantrax Premium fee will be divided between all teams and taken from the $35, with the rest going to the top 3 teams.

I joined "Super Mario's Elite league" last year.
He kicked me out of the league for "inactivity" in early Dec. after I questioned one of the rule changes he made without notifying everyone, and asked if he was joking when he proposed his Brian Elliott and Nyquist for my Tukka Rask.
I had paid my dues to Fantrax Treasurer which credited league premium fees $56.00 CAD. He has not paid me 1 cent of the money he owes me.
Because he applied my dues to Premium fees instead of prize money, Fantrax will not refund my money either.
Most or possibly all of the other managers work for the same company under him and I was the outsider.
I think he thought I would be easy money. When it was apparent I had a strong team and would probably share in the prize money, he booted me out and kept my money...

Holy shit you're right D, I did never pay you back and completely forgot. I will send you the monies asap. That part is not acceptable and will be righted.

There were no rule changes done without a vote going through the entire league. The fact that a rule written in our league rules was not set properly in Fantrax - but then corrected - does not equate to a rule change.

You were booted due to the fact that it took you *days* to reply to anyone in the league when it came to any kind of trade talks, which the entire league deemed as pretty unacceptable. The decision was not made on my own, nor did it have anything to do with the strength of your team. It was due to the fact that in a league full of managers that talked daily and would respond to all messages pretty much same day, we had to wait 3,4, some even claiming as long as a week to hear back from you.
