John Hayden upside
Know it is a limited sample size, but Hayden has averaged 12 minutes of TOI for Chicago, has played alongside Toews, and scored a goal last night vs. Toronto. I missed last night's game, but saw the highlights, and it was a nice goal from a kid known as a shooter in college.
Any thoughts on whether this kid is just a flash in the plan or Chicago's next Brandon Saad (who I've heard Hayden compared to)?

Im a believer in the kid. Im not saying hes the next McDavid but can be a solid multi-cat contributor who should be able to offer 40-50 points most seasons with upside for a little more in other seasons. I see a lot of JT Miller in his game.
Nothing wrong with that. I acquired him this season in a couple of my keepers.

I think he'll be more of a complimentary middle six player who can bang around a lineup. 35-45 point would be my expectations for him.

I picked him up in my deep keeper because of his high hit totals AND the amount of skill he showed in scoring his first NHL goal against Toronto. I know, small sample size but this is a deep league. He has not looked out of place playing with Toews and Panik and I hope he gets even better as he settles into his role. Definitely I consider this a flyer but he has shown more than I expected so far.

He's a fine pickup in a deep league. I don't project him to be a Saad-level guy though. Not even close.

Was thinking about picking him up today but he doesn't even exist in ESPN leagues yet lol

He exists in Fantrax, and I decided not to wait any longer. Grabbed him with one of my two remaining adds. I did it if for no other reason the Blackhawks go deep into the playoffs, he can earn me some points. If he really impresses me, he could become a keeper.
