[Speculation] Boeser might play for the Canucks this season, after he's done in the NCAA.

Pretty sure it burns a year off the ELC if he's up with the team for one day.

if he is 18 or 19 and doesn't play more than 9 NHL games in a given year, his contract 'slides' to the next year and he will still have 3 years remaining on it.
Because he is 20yo, it will burn a year.

The list is so fluid. Any of the top 10 could flip around in value depending on what happens. Some guys graduate out of like 30th place and score 60 pts.. while guys in the top 3 never play an NHL game.. Not a science at all. Keller might end up being the biggest points producer of the top 10 on the list... but who knows when that will be. For their level of production in the AHL, I feel like Compher and Fischer are pretty low.. Are there that many doubts about their ability to make the jump and produce in the top 6? They are pacing their teams in the minors in rookie seasons.. Fischer looks particularly good.. and has been at every level he`s played, more so than Compher, who might be a 3rd liner all the way... I guess I'm puzzled by their being either so closely ranked together so low, or that Fischer is so low. He looks primed for the jump.

..ya, fair enough. Obviously this benefits ARZ more than Keller, as they want to keep him at ELC, and he (assume) would want to burn through his ELC sooner to 'cash in' sooner. either way, i think theyd be nuts not to at least try and get him into an NHL jersey this year.

I actually think that it's much more likely that Boeser and Keller turn pro and sign with the big clubs. The only reason that won't happen is if their NCAA seasons run too long and then it's off the AHL for a stint before the summer.
Benning has expressed no concern over burning a year off Boeser's deal, and Keller will more than likely start in the NHL next year so might as well give him a taste of what to expect now.
But as, I said, the timing of when their NCAA seasons end will be the main factor

Keep on, keepin' on.
I love Dobber Hockey and the fact that he is willing to stick to his opinions until he finds new information that changes it but I do not like the latest version of the top 200 forward prospects. The latest edition is valuing current production way too highly. Jake Guentzel is just the latest guy who has the luck to play with Sidney Crosby, he has Anthony Mantha was a healthy scratch last week on a non-playoff team.
How many of you would trade any of the following for Mantha or Guentzel?
Keller
Connor
Barzal
Vrana
Dubois
White
Jost
Roslovic
Kaprizov
I would trade Barzal, Vrana, Dubois, White, Jost and/or Roslovic for Guentzel. Connor likely too, but only because of situation.
Keller is the only clear one who I wouldn't deal for Pretzel with Kaprizov still two years away from producing fantasy numbers while Geuntzel is likely to push for 60+ next season.
As for Mantha, I'd prefer Keller, Kaprizov, Connor, and likely Barzal over him. The rest are wait and sees.
