Default First keeper year - who should I keep?

    Arenado

I could have up to 6 more of the following players, counting as my draft picks round 3 - 8.

Biggest thing is how many teams are there? That determines what other kind of quality will be around if you don't keep anyone.

I’m finding a way to keep Myers, he’s gunning for the a 40HR 40SB yr. Will mean he’s running often.

If you keep Myers, is that your 3rd round pick used to keep him tho?

If I understand it correctly, it would be. Basically you can keep up to 8 players, but you have to use your highest remaining pick to keep a player. So keeping two players uses your top 2 picks, keeping 5 would be your top 5 picks, etc.

Well if you keep Myers might as well keep up to lets say 5, because that’s where I would like him in this. But if you don’t have 2 others you’d like to keep (I’d like CarGo and that’s really it) then no point in wasting 3rd rounder on Myers.

I’d go Arendao, Turner, Myers, CarGo, and like JDM.

JDM was the other guy I was looking at. I would consider Springer over CarGo though.

    Thanks for all the input - it's a 10 team league, H2H standard 5x5

Yeah basically my thoughts were to only take Arenado and Turner but if everyone else keeps their top 8 I wasn't sure if there'd be anyone worth drafting before round 5 essentially.

Was considering taking maybe 4 or 5 of those batters and then Archer as my 5th or 6th round keeper potentially?

It doesn't make sense that your FAs would be worse than the position at which they could be drafted anyways, so I would err on the side of keeping less, and worst case you just redraft the guys you dropped.
