    Default [TRADE] Streit to Pittsburgh

For a 4th round pick. Tbay retained 50% salary.

Essentially, Tampa traded a 7th round pick to dump Filpulla's contract. Good deal for Tampa and Pittsburgh.

PIT is assessing their immediate D need. Might be a little of a log jam when everyone is back healthy. I like the experience that Streit brings.

Probably Daley and Streit on PP2, thats not bad. Adding Hainsey and Streit quite affordably is good work by Rutherford.

Pitt has to be over the cap when everyone is healthy, right? Does that mean Daley or Maatta don't get back until the playoffs when the cap doesn't matter?

I think they see a first round matchup vs. Columbus, a second round matchup with Washington, and don't possibly envision having a fully health D corp ever.

    That said:

RD: Letang, Schultz, Daley (prefers right), Hainsey (prefers right)
    LD: Dumoulin, Streit, Maatta, Cole

That is significantly better depth than 2 weeks ago. It's not Washington, but it's still good.

Daley on LTIR. Maatta can come back before playoffs I think. Daley wont'.
