This is why I play. In 1st, but gambled anyways for Tavares.

Not many people like to gamble and trade but this is why I play.

I just shipped Lundqvist, Turris, Marleau for Elliott, Tavares and I get to activate Sheary once the trade is processed.

I figured it was a decent gamble, as I am currently Top-2 in all goalie categories - W, SV%, GAA, SHO - and Calgary/Elliott seems to be trending in the right direction.

I also needed the A, SOG and PPP boost from Tavares since Turris is too inconsistent.

What do you guys think?

Gotta go for it! Being first doesn't mean you should rest on your laurels. You can't be sure you'll stay steady the last quarter. It's better to take the risk and try to fill your weaker spots to ensure the win than leave yourself open to falling down in tight categories and losing the top spot. Tavares over Turris especially looks great for you. Not just in assists and ppp, but part of the gamble is knowing when a player has more ability than his stats indicate, and Tavares' talent makes him more likely than Turris to exceed his production rest of season.
