Just read on Twitter that Tampa now has Cory Conacher, but no Ben Bishop, so things have now come full circle.
Maybe another deal is in the works involving Bishop? All i can come up with at this point....not liking this as a Bishop owner unless Quick aggrevated his injury and nobody knows about it yet

Wonder if this a move before another move with Bishop? But they did move Budaj too so maybe not.
Any chance Kings want to resign Bishop and move Quick? Guessing the likelihood is low... And Quick has a limited NTC I believe. But just throwing it out there.
Yep, agreed. As a Bishop owner, I hate this.

Clearly Tampa is a motivated seller. When will management be held accountable for more of those train wreck contracts ? Granted what Yzerman did during his playing career and afterwards grants him a ton of wiggle room, but Tampa built themselves a house of straw starting with the horrific Callahan deal.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
Wow. Not expecting that. Must be more to it than what we see right now. Budaj is arguably playing as well or better than Bishop right now. Why? Hopefully there is more to this.

Callahan's contract is awful but, despite I always saw the day it will become gargantuan coming, I kind of understand the decision at the time. The same stands for Carle, Garrison, Filppula, etc. If they're in a tough spot is 'cause they did a very good job developing their young players, some late rounders or undrafted.
What doesn't make any sense is this deal. Even for a rental is Cernak all the Bolts can get for Bishop? And they have to add a pick and retain salary? I always hated Lindback but I'm weighting this deal as even worse.
I think they flip Bishop. It's just too much salary they could use to trade for a forward with pedigree, LA style.
