They already had a Vezina candidate to backup Quick in case he was rusty, which he isnt as we saw last night, he is all systems go. Tampa must have really wanted Budaj and really wanted Bishop off the books pronto. Still cant see how this helps the Kings at all, its not even a lateral move trading a backup for a much more expensive backup who is dubiously better than the first guy you had, the Vezina candidate with 7 shutouts.

Very odd for a team that can't score to go after a goalie when quick is back and Budaj played very well in his absence.

I dont think its an F off. I think its a heres an opportunity to go to a good team that will play you more than we will. Anyone think Vasilevesky is going to beat out Budaj in the near-term? Hard to see it.
