I don't watch a lot of Avs games, but I know they stink.

In spite of that, Smith has a respectable save percentage. Does this guy have legs?

If you're asking for this season, no. He won't get enough starts around Pickard to make him worth the pickup unless you're spot starting him. Past this season though, who knows. I definitely agree he has had a decent showing for a bad team thus far.

Maybe a backup for the Avs beyond this year but being #2 on a shitty team isn't overly appealing in fantasy circles. I don't think he's a long-term NHLer though.
