Default DeAngelo or Sergachev worth a grab and stash?

Need to move out some idle forward talent (over on games played) and looking to either grab and stash a young D with the potential to finish the season strong on their team OR challenge Yandle for keeper status for my 4th D.

All Low risk moves. Worth it?

Sergachev won't be up this year, if that's what you mean.. DeAngelo is playing 20 mins with PP time so that might be worth a shot.

Yandle is a safer bet for sure.. he should be doing better soon...

    Thanks MJeff.

Yeah... trying to see if DeAngelo now and potential stash for next year out weighs sergachev stash alone for next year.

Either way it's Yandles job to lose as my 4th keeper.

    Tks

I think I'd rather DeAngelo with your settings.

While Sergachev will very probably make the team, we still are unsure of his usage, but the team is better as a whole and will score more goals than Arizona. Will he be tutored beside Weber? That would help his value for sure.

DeAngelo will be on the top PP unit if they run with 2 defensemen which helps his value more, but Arizona sucks..His ceiling isn't very different than Sergachev's in a points only format though

I would drop Sekera and Phaneuf for Deangelo and Sergachev. Your D is solid. Deangelo will help now some if you need him. Get Sergachev while you can. Is it really worth having two D on the bench who barely play than have a guy on the bench who may be worth a lot more? Plus you have Spurgeon as your backup. If you only want to pick up one though I would take Deangelo.

Definitely DeAngelo for me. He helps you this year, and with almost exclusively having offensive scoring categories, he will be better for you in the long run.

    Thanks guys.

FYI, updated my signature. No longer have Spurgeon... added Dell for goalie Depth and a 2nd rounder for Spurgeon.

Think I'll focus on adding DeAngelo now and save my final pick up for post deadline grab of the shiny new toy with potential. Be it sergachev or other. Can always turn him into a draft pick which is more valuable than a waiver pick I can't carry over.
