    Default Wheeler Trade

Currently sitting in 4th in my conference (Top 3 in each conference go to the playoffs) and I am very close to getting into 3rd but need a bit of a boost. Manager offered up Wheeler but wants Kaprizov and Girard.

Is it worth losing Kaprizov for Wheeler? I mean Wheeler could certainly help with the push and I know there is no guarantee for him to come to the NHL.

    Thoughts?

it's a pretty good return for a guy that is all but guaranteed to offer nothing accept a fun name on your roster for the next 18 months. Then how long does it take him to become an impact player in the NHL? mid-season? a full year?

Wheeler is a really nice addition... I would do it. Seems like a steal of a deal to me.

Ya, I agree wtih the above. We don't know much about Kaprizov yet, and he's not going to help you for at least 18 months, probably more. I say make the move.

Keep in mind Jets have fewest number of games left in NHL (19). Wheeler should get more points ROS than a lot of forwards on your current roster and Kaprizov won't be getting any. I'd take Wheeler here and push to get into playoffs.

I concur with above. Wheeler is worth it even if you don't win this year.
