Duchene for JVR?

I've been offered JVR in exchange for Duchene for the team in sig.

I hate to give up Duchene but think I should pull the trigger as it would improve my LWs.

Any advice/opinions would be appreciated!

I would do it. It's a nice bump over Belesky. You really need the biggest bump on D. Carlson & Hamilton shouldn't be your top two options - Hanifin is borderline roster able in most formats. I'd try to move Perry for at least another solid offensive Dman - Krug-esque (as Perry's value is declining)

Thanks. I had dropped Belesky a couple of days ago to activate Vatanen from IR+ but forgot to change my signature. It should be correct now.

I would not make this trade. JVR is what he is a 60pt guy. He is playing less this season than ever before (15.45min) and see him getting pushed further down the depth chart as Toronto's younger guys are maturing. Duchene has the lowest 5v5 SH% and Off Zone starts% of his career. I think between Ovy and Benn your LW is fine and I would focus on improving your D as you are trying to do with your last offer.

How about countering with Perry for JVR? If successful, I try to trade Matt Murray for a #1 Defenseman?

Perry for JVR would not be a bad move at all. Perry has started a slow decline and I like JVR a little more. I would not move Murray but Rask instead for a #1D.

I would keep Duchene. With faceoff wins, good centers are pretty important/valuable, and there isn't a significant point gap between the two.

I think I'd keep Perry too. His S% is WAY low right now so you're not trading for top dollar. He should have 10 more goals right now based on his career S%, his shots taken aren't declining, while his on ice team S% is on par, which suggests his assists are legit.
