Default Craig Button's Top 50 NHL-Affiliated Prospects NOT in the NHL

Saw this list posted on TSN yesterday

    http://www.tsn.ca/test1-1.677389

Always interesting, always creates discussion, controversy with Button's discretion & subjectivism.

The glaring omission to me was Ryan Pulock. Also thought it was interesting Kaprizov is 5th on the list, one spot ahead of Puljujarvi & that Honka & Theodore are in the 30's

I am wondering about Raddysh... is he really not top 50? I have only seen him play for Team Canada at the juniors. Not the best skater.... but his scoring is not worth a top 50?

We all might remember his brutal expansion draft picks for Vegas, so I'd take this list with a grain of salt (as lucafen says).

DeBrincat at #23 is perhaps my biggest eyebrow raiser...
ESPN keeper league (5 rounds draft; 3 FA pickups per year; points for G, A, W, SO)

Forwards: Ovechkin, McDavid, Huberdeau, Voracek, Boeser, Wennberg, Galchenyuk, Tkachuk, Keller, Arvidsson, Teravainen, Rantanen
D-men: Letang, Keith, Krug, Ellis, Ekblad, Hanifin
    Goalies: Murray, Hellebuyck

Bench: Hertl, Bjorkstrand, Gallagher, Domi, Tolvanen, Niskanen, Chychrun, Darling, Mrazek, Jarry

I have really mixed feelings about Raddysh's NHL upside... but now that you mention it his teammate - debrincat didn't make the cut either. on pace for his 3rd straight 50G season in the O.

Yeah he did and I think he's too high.

Nice to see Ottawa get a lot of respect here. We have a very good prospect pool right now.

Not sure, but maybe the list was limited to prospects 21yo and under....otherwise, would Nikita Gusev not be top 10 at least? Where would you guys rank him?

    I agree with this.

But also no Jost on the list has me scratching my head, and there could have been a spot for McLeod. Also I think D. Strome is waaaaaaaaaaay too high.

Edit: then I go check the list and realize he is on there haha. n00b

But good list none the less

Not a big fan of this list. Than again we all would have something bad to say about any list I think

That's a bit too high but not so bad in my opinion.

I believe that list is about NHL projections and not fantasy hockey. Then again not sure he would crack top-10 on a fantasy hockey list either. I probably wouldn't have him on my top-50 either.

Why exactly is Strome too high? He should be #1 on that list in my opinion. I don't see anyone else on the list with better NHL projection than him. Some players might be flashier than him but I believe he will be the most valuable NHL player from that list.

I personally like this list. Obviously I have some differing opinions but overall I like it.

I don't subscribe to some players that get hyped up with gaudy junior totals, and it seems like Button is the same. Him and I are often on the same page for a number of guys.

Jake Virtanen in the 40's pre draft 2014... bang on! HE definitely has his misses too, like we all do though.

That was my initial thought, until Raddysh was not included...
