Default Who are the best trade deadline stashes/handcuffs?

A goalie who is traded to a new team and gets a new opportunity? Halak?

A goalie who then goes from timeshare to starter? Vas?

A skater who is traded to a new team and gets new life? Landeskog?

Who else should we be stashing to strike gold during trading season?

    Halak - yes, great idea.
Vas - no, I don't think Bishop is moved. Think Reimer, people may not have caught onto him yet.
The last one is just throwing darts. Could be anyone

It depends on your league settings. I just traded Vatrano for Gurianov & Max Jones. I'm out of the playoffs here, so I saw the opportunity to get two solid prospects I see as having similar if not higher ceilings for one mid-tiered one. All because Vatrano is producing now and is minors eligible ROS and the owner is making a run. Personally I had Gurianov ranked above Vatrano in terms of future ceiling, so it was IMO a solid win for me.

If you're looking to next season take a look at the players that have crapped the bed this year - they could come cheap for some vets... Larkin, Bennett -- or aim at long term injured players Jarnkrok/Fabbri as it doesn't deter from rosters of teams in the playoffs but offer them solid return now for instant bumps in production - while you're getting a really good young player.
