Senators' Mark Stone: Knocked out of game Sunday

(2/19/17) Stone left Sunday's game against the Jets after taking a hard hit to the head from Jacob Trouba, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.Stone was down on the ice for a long time before finally heading to the dressing room. Trouba lowered his shoulder into Stone's head and received just a two minute minor, but there's a good chance he'll be hearing from the league and could face a suspension for the hit. Stone has already suffered a concussion this season, so another head injury could mean very bad news.

I did not listen to the game, anyone has other news, you guys think he'll be out long?

I'd imagine he's going through a ton of tests right now, hopefully we will hear something today. I haven't found anything more than what you've posted. Really, really disappointing, I'm getting sick of these injuries (Hoffman too!).

With Ryan out, if Stone and Hoffman are also gone for a while, how do you see the lines going forward? Also, I assume Turris and Brassard would be near-permanent fixtures on the PP, but would they look to go with two D instead?

No idea about forward lines but I would guess Turris, brassard, smith, Phaneuf, Karlsson PP1. Or Dzingel instead of Phaneuf or smith.

It's an encouraging sign for the star forward a day after he took a shot to the head from Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba. There's no guarantee Stone will play Tuesday, but a concussion diagnosis would presumably prevent him from traveling with the squad. Expect another update on his status come Tuesday, providing a bit more clarity on his status moving forward.
