Default Do goalies fall victims to "trap games"?

I know the theory in certain games where the superior team sees, what they believe to be, a weaker team on the schedule and they treat that game as a "gimme", take the team lightly and lose.

It's been said to hold true in football...does the same hold true in baseball with pitchers and hockey with goalies?

As an owner of both Murray and Holtby, I can't help but think that the Red Wings were a trap game for these two teams this weekend. Even worse for Pittsburgh, Detroit was on a b2b and had to travel to Pittsburgh...argh.

I think it happens at all levels of organized sport. I don't think teams are capable of giving a 100% effort mentally and physically all 82 games. I also own Murray and Holtby, so I'm with ya brother.
